Large files are a way of life for most people. Even a Word(R) document with a few pictures can get unruly pretty quick. If you work with media files your hard drive is constantly groaning with massive files.

Most ISPs don't want you sending large files through their service. In fact most have a 2Mb wall that rejects anything bigger. Why? Well, email tends to grow (1.3x) and it usually passes through a rather busy server. This means that a 300Mb file would literally choke a server if enough people did it.

NOTE: You can pickup a file twice before we charge additional bandwidth (ie. 5mb file picked up twice = 5mb)

The Solution :

File4ward uses a special technology that routes the files through the ISP but not via their mail servers. This means we can move HUGE files and not icur the wrath of your ISP.

File4ward sends the files to our protected servers and send an email containing a link to the recipient. Instead of recieving an attachment (like normal File4ward event) the end recipient recieves a link to "pick-up-the-file". This means you can send a 300MB file and the recipient of the notice downloads the file direct from our servers (FAST, SECURE and NO RESTRICTIONS).

The file can even be opened directly throught the browser!! So if you send a MS Word(R) file, the recipient can click the file and it opens in MS Word!!

Tip of the Week:

When you are in the Web Interface (http://file4ward.com), choose a file you wish to work on and when the email address field appears, put in your own email address..

Wait a minute or so then click the FILE PICKUP DRIVE image (top the drive list on left hand side). You will see your file on the Filepickup list. If you then click the file, it will open in the program associated with it ie. If it's an Excel file, it will open in excel!
