A
Revolutionary Mobile Application Technology is born:
Penokio®
was invented in the summer of 2000. Originally created to
allow access to scheduling features of MS Outlook for healthcare
practitioners, it became apparent our unique and robust
means of providing wireless application delivery was worth
expanding.
We
applied for and received Pat Pending status in the United
States in Jan 2001. We filed internationally shortly thereafter.
Penokio
is unique because we can retrofit any existing application
(software) on any OS (Linux®, Windows® or Solaris®)
to extend to the mobile platform or internet browser (IE®
or Netscape®). This means low cost of entry for developers,
increased revenues for Telco's and wide selection of currently
in-use applications for the end user.
Built
with security as it's first priority, each Penokio based
product is designed to use existing TCP/IP connections thereby
making it use the same port on firewalls as the browser
(Internet Explorer). We embed each software client with
it's own SSL certificate to ensure a 128Bit Connection to
our service. We have a host of internal security features
that further protect each user and thereby ensure the remote
computer is no more at risk than without our software installed.
Another
advanced concept is "Self Storage" whereby any
data accessed remains on the remote PC/Computer and unlike
other services is not copied and stored on our servers.
We don't want to know what files you have or emails you
get. Your information remains securely yours, on your own
computer.
Give
one of our products a test drive. You may not even notice
all the amazing technology at work under the hood (if not
then we have done our job). Let us know what you think,
your feedback keeps us honest and innovative.
The
Penokio Team.
